
Stars Scooter Gennett Selected to Futures Game

NEW YORK - Huntsville Stars second baseman and Southern League All-Star Scooter Gennett has been selected to represent the Milwaukee Brewers in the SIRIUS XM All-Star Futures Game, as announced by Major League Baseball.
The 22-year-old Gennett is currently hitting .300 with 19 doubles and three home runs, ranking him as the fifth best hitter in the Southern League. He leads the league in games (70) and hits (83) and is second in at bats (277) and fourth in doubles.
This is his first appearance in a Futures Game. Former Huntsville Stars pitcher Tyler Thornburg represented the Brewers in last year's game.
