Huntsville Stars News Release
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - Will the odds be ever in your favor on June 28th? Find out at Joe Davis Stadium when the Hunger Games come to Huntsville.
The battle to the fullest consists of a representative from each (completely made up) district and six innings of extreme food contests, eliminating players as the games progress.
Restaurants from around the Rocket City will showcase food from their menus. Participants can look forward to great food from Baumhower's, Chili's, Applebee's, Costco bakery, Jet's Pizza, Buffalo Wild Wings and more! However, participants will have to prove themselves worthy of the title Hunger Games Champion by getting through some additional surprise challenges.
Participants will proudly represent their districts by attempting to clean their plates as much as possible in a minute and a half between each inning. Eat fast or risk elimination! Contestants will be eliminated throughout the game based on how much food they consume during the challenges. The contestants who eat the most in each round will advance until only two remain to face the ultimate challenge in the ninth inning. The one left standing at the end of the game will receive a trophy, a season pass to the remaining 2012 Stars games, a skybox for one night, and be named the first champion of the Huntsville Stars Hunger Games!
Registration is free and open to the first 20 contestants ages 18 and older. Email Gillian Richard at Gillian@huntsvillestars.com to sign up today. The only cost is your admission to the game, so don't miss out on this opportunity to eat lots of good food, represent your district and win some great prizes!
Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favor!
