Salt Lake City Stars News Release

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today their home game on Friday, Jan. 28 against the Oklahoma City Blue (Thunder affiliate) will be played at Vivint Arena, the home of the Utah Jazz. The game, which is presented by Zions Bank, was originally scheduled for Bruin Arena at Salt Lake Community College in Taylorsville.

This will be the second game the Stars will play at Vivint Arena during the 2021-22 campaign. The team hosted the Santa Cruz Warriors at Vivint Arena on Nov. 19 for a Junior Jazz Night that welcomed 7,553 fans to see the Stars battle the Warriors.

"Having our games at Vivint Arena provides a great opportunity for our fans and our players to experience NBA G League basketball under the bright lights of an NBA arena," said Salt Lake City Stars team president Jonathan Rinehart. "We have been bringing Stars basketball to Vivint Arena for several years now and it is always a special experience for everyone involved."

Stars games continue to be centered around affordable family entertainment. The University of Utah Health Kids Zone will be available during the game, offering access to bounce houses, face painters and balloon artists on the floor of Vivint Arena. There will also be contests and giveaways, and an exclusive autograph session immediately following the game with the entire Stars team. Additional family-friendly activities will be announced at a later date.

Free parking for the game will be available in the Park Place lot located adjacent to Vivint Arena on the corner of 300 West and South Temple.

Tickets for the Jan. 28 game at Vivint Arena are still available at slcstars.com or by phone (via call or text) at (801) 325-STAR (7827).
