
Stars Fall to the Phantoms, 3-0

LINCOLN, Neb. - The Lincoln Stars (29-21-1-1) posted 34 shots but were held to a 3-0 loss by the Youngstown Phantoms (29-18-5-1) on Friday night at the Ice Box.
The Phantoms scored twice in the first period thanks to two goals from forward Mike Regush at 13:19 as well as on the power play at 14:34 to quickly double the lead, 2-0.
In the third period, Phantoms forward Jack Malone jammed in a loose puck at 8:56 to triple the lead, 3-0. The Stars pressed often during the game but were not able to find the back of the net. Phantoms netminder Wouter Peeters (13-9-1) stopped all 34 shots in the win, while Stars goaltender TomáÅ=A1 Vomá=C4=8Dka (20-17-0) halted 17 of 20 shots in the loss.
