Lincoln Stars News Release
The Lincoln Stars dropped Saturday night's matchup with the Omaha Lancers, 3-1, at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena.
Jack Pechar scored with 24.5 seconds left to cut the deficit in half but Lincoln could not complete the comeback. The tally was Pechar's sixth of the season and he is second on the Stars in goals scored.
Jamison Sluys scored a power-play goal for Omaha in the first period before David Deputy scored on an odd-man rush off a forced turnover. Deputy added a shorthanded goal shortly after Pechar's tally to restore the two-goal lead.
The Stars won't have to wait long for their next game as they host the Tri-City Storm at 7:05 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ice Box. Purchase tickets for the Blackout Wednesday game now at lincolnstars.com
