Storm Set for Saturday Night Showdown at Viaero Center

KEARNEY, NE. - The Tri-City Storm is set for tonight's showdown against the Muskegon Lumberjacks at the Viaero Center following last night's 6-3 home victory over the Lumberjacks. Six different Storm players netted goals in last night's victory. Tickets for tonight's matchup can be purchased online by skating to www.StormHockey.com, or by calling the Viaero Center Box Office at 308-338-8144. Puck drop is scheduled for 6:05pm CT.

Tri-City (10-6-1-0) jumped to 3rd place in the USHL's Western Conference standings with last night's three-goal victory on home ice over Muskegon. Vladislav Lukashevich, Artemi Nizameyev, Ryan Smith, Cam Briere, Jake Rozzi, and August Falloon all netted goals during the battle for the Storm. Cameron Korpi backstopped Tri-City for the win in net. The Storm improved to 8-2-0-0 when scoring the first goal of the game this season in last night's win. Tri-City enters tonight's battle on a three-game winning streak, and four-game point streak. The Storm holds a 3-1-0-0 record in head-to-head games played against the Lumberjacks over the last five years. Tri-City improved to 6-2-0-0 in eight games played at the Viaero Center this season in last night's 6-3 victory. Scoring leaders for the Storm entering tonight's final home game of November include August Falloon (10), Ryan Smith (7), Artemi Nizameyev (5), and Cam Briere (5). Tri-City will return to action on Wednesday, November 22nd in a road matchup against the Lincoln Stars following tonight's home contest against Muskegon. The Storm will return home to the Viaero Center to host the Green Bay Gamblers in back-to-back games on Friday, December 1st, and Saturday, December, 2nd.

Muskegon (8-7-1-1) is 3-5-1-1 over the past ten games following last night's three-goal road loss to Tri-City. The Lumberjacks have dropped seven of the last eight games, and will seek to snap a four-game winless skid in tonight's matchup. Joe Connor scored twice in last night's game for Muskegon. Patrick Raftery also netted a powerplay goal in the 1st period for the Lumberjacks last night. Muskegon netted three powerplay goals during the matchup, the most powerplay goals scored in a single game by the Lumberjacks this season. Scoring leaders for Muskegon entering tonight's final game of the weekend include Matvei Gridin (11), Sacha Boisvert (11), Hunter Anderson (8), Joe Connor (6), and Justin Solovey (6). The Lumberjacks will return to action next weekend with back-to-back home games against the Madison Capitols at Trinity Health Arena following tonight's battle against the Storm. Muskegon has not lost two games in a single season to Tri-City since dropping back-to-to-back home games to the Storm on November 3rd, and November 4th, 2017.
