Stars Fall in First Regular Season Game

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, fell to the Ontario Clippers (LA Clippers affiliate) 121-111, in their first 2024 Regular Season match-up, tonight at Delta Center, home of the Utah Jazz.

The Clippers jumped out to take a quick lead, ending the first quarter ahead by 12-points. The Stars managed to keep it within single-digits, trailing by just six points as they headed into the break, 60-54. Salt Lake City made a push in the final frame, outscoring Ontario 30-26. However, the Clippers claimed the final victory, defeating the Stars 121-111.

Utah Jazz two-way player Josh Christopher led the team with 26 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Fellow two-way guard Johnny Juzang, added 20 points with a team leading seven assists, along with four rebounds. Stars guard Isaiah Miller, came off the bench to score 14 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 23 minutes of action.

Jordan Miller led the night in scoring with 34 points for Ontario, paired with an impressive 13 rebounds to kick off the season with a double-double. Xavier Moon added 30 points, five rebounds, and four assists for the Clippers.

Salt Lake City will travel to face the Stockton Kings on Dec. 30 at 6:00 p.m. MT at Stockton Arena. The team will return to match-up against the Rip City Remix on Jan. 4 at the Maverik Center. The game will tip-off at 7 p.m. MT and will be streamed LIVE on Jazz+ and ESPN+.
