Stars Beat Mad Ants to Collect Fourth-Straight Win

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars defeated the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 111-106 at Bruin Arena on Tuesday night to extend their winning streak to four games.

Utah Jazz assignment player Juwan Morgan scored a game-high 26 points on 12-of-20 (.600) from the field. Jazz two-way player Justin Wright-Foreman tallied 20 points, his fourth consecutive 20-point game. Trevon Bluiett added 17 points and eight rebounds, while Mike Scott led all reserves with 13 points and four assists.

The Mad Ants were led by C.J. Wilcox, who finished with 25 points on 7-of-11 (.636) from the field and 4-of-8 (.500) from three. Walt Lemon Jr. tallied a 20/10 game with 21 points and a game-high 10 assists. Ben Moore also recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Stephan Hicks added 21 points and seven rebounds.

It was a back-and-forth battle throughout the game, with seven lead changes and 10 ties. The Stars led by as many as 15 points in the second quarter (48-33), but the Mad Ants cut the lead to four points at intermission (53-49). Salt Lake City outscored Fort Wayne 12-7 in the final 3:14 of the game to pull away and earn the five-point win.

The Stars will continue their season-long six-game homestand with a contest against the Oklahoma City Blue (Oklahoma City Thunder affiliate) on Friday, Jan. 31 for "Utah 801 Night presented by University of Utah Health."
