Stockton Native, Kings Alum Gabe Vincent Earns First NBA Action

January 29, 2020 - NBA G League (G League)
Stockton Kings News Release

Gabe Vincent earned his first NBA minutes on Monday, checking in for the Miami Heat.

Monday night was one to remember for Gabe Vincent, the former Stockton Kings swingman and Stockton native.

The 23-year-old stepped onto the paint to play in his first official NBA contest for the Miami Heat in their tilt against the Orlando Magic.

"It was a surreal feeling taking those steps living out my childhood dream," the Stockton native reflected. "Looking forward to further opportunities and am happy to be part of the Miami Heat organization."

After a stellar start to the season in the 209 which included multiple 30-plus point games and an average of 4.3 three-pointers made, the Stockton community knew it was only a matter of time before the UC Santa Barbara product would be called up to the Association.

So, it was no surprise the Miami Heat cashed in on the point guard's potential and signed him up to a two-way contract.

In his four games with Miami's G League affiliate, Sioux Falls Sky Force, Vincent is averaging 20.4 PPG, and he is just scratching the surface of his professional career.

The Stockton community will continue to cheer on its hometown star as he lives out his dreams.
