Iowa Chops News Release


The Iowa Stars today announced that they have listed two jerseys that are up for auction from the 05-06 and 06-07 Seasons on iowastarshockey.com.

Hockey fans worldwide will be able to place bids on the jerseys worn by Stars players during the 2005-2006 Inaugural Season, the 2006 Pre-Season, and the 2006-2007 Season by visiting iowastarshockey.com and clicking the jersey auction logo on the left side of the Iowa Stars main page. Each jersey will be listed for 14 days and begins November 9th.

Game Worn Jerseys that are up for auction include the jerseys of forward David Oliver and defenseman Vadim Khomitski.

Oliver Road Green

Up for auction by the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League is a David Oliver Iowa Stars GAME WORN ROAD GREEN Jersey #28, size Pro56. From 1990-1994 while at the University of Michigan, he recorded 205 points, including 107 goals in 152 games: 152(107/98/205). Oliver was a teammate of Dallas pro scout Shane Churla in 1996 with the Rangers. Oliver finished the 2005-2006 season with 21 goals, 13 assists, and 26 PIM's in 54 games with Iowa, 54(21/13/34). He also scored 3 goals in 5 games for the Stars in the playoffs.

This Jersey, made by Reebok Hockey, shows several puck marks that go across the bottom of the Jersey. There are several places where the jersey has been torn due to game play including the right elbow, left sleeve, and shoulders. Stitching around the numbers is starting to show wear. The neck tie has been taken out. On the top right front is a square KPWB 23 Logo patch. On the top left front is the Iowa Stars Inaugural Season patch. The shoulder patches feature the Dallas Stars Logo and the State Logo. The back of the jersey has several patches. Top center above the nameplate: Reebok logo. On the bottom right of the jersey: Reebok logo patch and an AHL secondary logo. All patches are sewn on and the jersey will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Iowa Stars.

Khomitski Pre-Season Dallas Jersey

Up for auction by the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League is a Vadim Khomitski Dallas Stars GAME WORN PRE-SEASON WHITE HOME Jersey #64, size Pro56. Vadim was a fourth round draft pick by the Dallas Stars in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. He made his North American professional debut with the Iowa Stars on October 7th, 2006 against the San Antonio Rampage in San Antonio, Texas.

This Jersey, made by CCM Hockey, shows several puck and stick marks across the front. On the back part of the right sleeve there are small wear marks around the right elbow. On the back above the "6" is a small tear caused by game play. The front of the jersey displays the Dallas Stars jersey crest on the chest. The shoulder patches feature the Dallas Stars' Texas State Logo on both shoulders. The back of the jersey has several patches. Top center above the nameplate: CCM logo. On the bottom right of the jersey: NHL logo. All patches are sewn on and the jersey will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Iowa Stars.

Stars Host Houston for 2 Game Set

The Iowa Stars welcome in the Houston Aeros tonight to the Wells Fargo Arena in Downtown Des Moines for the first of two games between the two clubs this Thursday and Friday.

Thursday November 9th: Thursday is 4 For $40 Night with the Iowa Stars. Come down to the Wells Fargo Arena Box Office and you can get four $21 tickets for only $40. Game time is set for 7:05 PM.

Friday November 10th: Friday is Military Appreciation Night with the Stars. Help support wounded soldiers by donating to Operation First Response.
