
Canucks Recall Nathan McIver

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have recalled defenceman Nathan McIver.
McIver, 21, has appeared in eight games so far this season with the Moose, collecting an assist and 20 penalty minutes in that time. He suffered a concussion in the first game of the season at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Oct. 4/06 and missed the next five games. Last season - his first in pro hockey - the Summerside. PEI native played in 66 games with the Moose, scoring one goal and six assists for seven points and 20 penalty minutes.
In 192 career games in three seasons with the Toronto Marlies of the OHL, McIver scored 13 goals and 43 assists for 56 points and 464 penalty minutes.
McIver was originally Vancouver's eighth round choice, 254th overall, in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
