New Jersey Loans Defensman Hale to Lowell

LOWELL, MA - The New Jersey Devils announced today that D David Hale has been loaned to the Lowell Devils, their top affiliate in the American Hockey League, for a conditioning assignment.
Hale, 25, has yet to appear in a game this season. In 2005-06, the Colorado Springs, Colorado native split the season between the New Jersey Devils and Albany of the AHL. He recorded 0g-4a-4pts and 21 PIM in 38 games with New Jersey, and 2g-5a-7pts and 64 PIM with Albany. Hale is in his fourth professional season after being drafted by New Jersey in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2000 Entry Draft.
The Lowell Devils will host a pair of 7:05 PM games this weekend for Military Appreciation Weekend. On Friday, they host the Manchester Monarchs for the first time this season, and on Saturday, the Norfolk Admirals come to town. The Devils are asking fans who attend these games to bring goods to contribute to care packages to send to troops serving overseas.
