Huntsville Stars News Release

On Monday, the Stars made a slew of roster moves, headlined by the trade of LHP Thomas Keeling to the Atlanta Braves organization for big league infielder Juan Francisco.

Keeling was 0-1 with a 3.18 ERA in 17 appearances with the Stars, but had only given up one earned run in his last 13 outings.

Infielder Ozzie Chavez was also transferred from Huntsville to Nashville (AAA) for the second time this season. With the Stars, Chavez has played 17 games this season, hitting .226 with seven runs batted in. The 14-year pro baseball vet was 9-for-30 (.300) in 11 games at the dish during his first stint with the Sounds this season.

In corresponding moves to those two losses, RHP Brooks Hall was transferred to Huntsville from Brevard County (A+) while C Joey Paciorek was activated off the disabled list.

Hall, 22, was 2-3 with a 2.78 ERA in 11 games (10 starts) with the Manatees this season. He is now the youngest player on the Stars roster.

Paciorek, 24, was placed on the DL on 5/25 (retro to 5/22). The Maple Ridge, British Columbia native is hitting .261 in nine games with the Stars this season after a brief stint with Nashville (AAA) to start the season.

Hall's jersey number will be determined upon his arrival to Huntsville. The Stars active roster sits at 25, the Southern League maximum.
