Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders have acquired international offensive lineman Randy Richards from the Saskatchewan Roughriders in return for the rights to national offensive lineman Aaron Picton.

Richards played two games for the Roughriders this season, starting both contests at right tackle. The six-foot-three, 303-lb. native of Kingston, Jamaica, was signed as an undrafted free agent by the National Football League's San Diego Chargers in 2013 and has also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Collegiately, he played two seasons at Missouri State and made 22 starts for the Bears.

Picton was a sixth-round selection of the Stampeders in 2015 and returned to the University of Regina after attending training camp with the Stamps.
