Idaho Stampede News Release

BOISE, Idaho, January 27, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede and the Trey McIntyre Project, two cultural pillars of the Treasure Valley and the State of Idaho, will be joining forces to entertain local youth, while teaching them the importance of teamwork and discipline.

Players, coaches and front office members of the Stampede, along with dancers from the Trey McIntyre Project, will host a youth event at 4 p.m. at the Downtown YMCA (1050 West State St., Boise, ID 83702) on February 2.

Between 30-40 second through sixth graders from the City Lights and YMCA Child Development Centers will take direction from Stampede players and TMP dancers. These two programs at the YMCA offer varieties of activities - such as this event - that help children to grow in spirit, mind and body.

Stampede players and coaches will teach the basics of basketballs through a variety of drills, while dancers from TMP will teach dance moves. The two teams will then switch roles, and the team will dance and teach dance, while members of the Trey McIntyre Project will shoot hoops.
