PORTLAND, Maine - Terrico White scored 20 points for the second consecutive game, but the Idaho Stampede lost to the Maine Red Claws 97-94. Lawrence Hill (15 points, 10 rebounds) made a three-pointer with .2 seconds left in the contest to secure the victory for the home team, as Idaho lost its fifth straight game.
Antoine Walker had 19 points, six rebounds and five assists playing close to where he made his name as an NBA All-Star with the Boston Celtics. Tony Bobbitt added 16 points. Idaho (8-16) led by as many as 11 and held an eight point lead after three quarters, before surrendering 25 points, including four made three-pointers, in the fourth quarter. Mikki Moore had four points, 11 rebounds and two blocks, while Paul Carter chipped in with 11 points. The Stampede out-rebounded Maine 43-35 and made 8-of-18 threes in the loss.
Morris Almond had 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Xavier Silas had 16 points and Jerome Randle added 16 points and four assists for the Red Claws (9-16).
Idaho comes home to play Rio Grande Valley Feb. 3 and 4 at CenturyLink Arena. The Stampede will don pink jerseys for those two games to be auctioned off by the Stampede and AuctionFrogs.org in support of breast cancer awareness, with proceeds going to St. Luke's Hospital Mountain States Tumor Institute. The Trey McIntyre Project, a world renowned dance company, will perform at halftime of the Feb. 3 game.
