Los Angeles D-Fenders News Release
BAKERSFIELD, CA - Elijah Millsap scored a game-high 28 points and Derrick Caracter, who was on assignment from the Los Angeles Lakers, finished with 20 points off the bench, but the Los Angeles D-Fenders dropped their one-game road trip 106-95 to the Bakersfield Jam on Thursday night.
The D-Fenders (17-9) remained close after they cashed in on 30 second chance points via a team season-high 22 offensive rebounds, but only managed to shoot 37.9 percent in front of the Jam Events Center crowd. Despite the tough shooting night as a team, Los Angeles' Gerald Green registered 18 points and nine rebounds, Mardy Collins tallied 14 points, six rebounds and nine assists, and Orien Greene dished out a season-high 10 assists in the loss.
Osiris Eldridge (22 points) and Renaldo Major (21 points, 7 rebounds) paced the Jam (13-10), who won their second consecutive game against the D-Fenders. Additionally, Eric Bledsoe, the Los Angeles Clippers guard who was assigned to the Jam earlier today, recorded 15 points and seven assists off the bench, Juan Pattillo finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, and Jeremy Wise scored 11 points for Bakersfield.
After the loss, the D-Fenders are now 3-3 against Bakersfield with two more games to play against their northern neighbors this season.
Los Angeles returns to the Toyota Sports Center to begin a five-game home stand, starting with the Canton Charge on January 28th at 6:30 p.m. Watch the D-Fenders square off against Canton for the first time this season, or tune in to the action live on NBA Futurecast.
For the first time ever, the D-Fenders are offering season ticket packages for the 2011-12 season that include special Lakers ticket purchase opportunities as well as various other incentives. Walk-up day of game general admission and courtside tickets are also still available for most home games.
