Stampede Stumble Against Austin

BOISE, Idaho, January 21, 2012 - Mikki Moore had 19 points and 11 rebounds and David Bailey added 17 points, eight assists and six rebounds, but the Idaho Stampede (8-14) lost their second straight game to the Austin Toros 106-92.

Idaho started off the game on a 12-0 run with Antoine Walker scoring 10 of the first 12, before going into halftime with a one-point deficit down 50-51. In the third quarter, the Stampede were outscored 29-17 and the Toros (18-4) went from down by one point to holding a 12 point advantage in a span of 5 minutes, 34 seconds. Austin made 13-of-22 shots and committed no turnovers, while Idaho made 7-of-19 and had four turnovers, which led to five Toros points.

Reggie Larry added 12 points and eight rebounds off the bench for the Stampede, while Walker finished with 16 points and eight rebounds. On the game, the Stampede out-rebounded Austin 48-37 and held a 56-34 advantage in points in the paint, but Austin made 30-of-34 free throws to help ice the game.

Leo Lyons had 25 points and 10 rebounds, while Justin Dentmon had 24 points (11-12 FT) for Austin.

Idaho plays two games out East next in two contests against the Springfield Armor (Jan. 26) and Maine Red Claws (Jan. 27).
