BAKERSFIELD, January 20, 2012 - Osiris Eldridge's 26 point performance wasn't enough as the Los Angeles D-Fenders (17-7) defeated the Bakersfield Jam (11-10) 105-88 behind Elijah Millsap's triple-double night of 26 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists. The D-Fenders led by as many as 22 points and the Jam never recovered resulting in their third straight loss to the D-Fenders.

Bakersfield started the night slow as they quickly found themselves down by eight points (12-4) just three minutes into the game. The Jam managed to fight back in the second quarter and gained their first lead of the night (33-31) on an Osiris Eldridge jump shot at the 9:41 mark. But the D-Fenders soon regained the lead after Gerald Green hit a jump shot with 6:01 left in the first half and did not give it up for the remainder of the game. The game got away from Bakersfield in the third and continued to slip away in the fourth as Los Angeles shot 53.5% from the field compared to the Jam's 38.2% in the second half.

Bakersfield bench scored a season high 64 total points this evening: Eldridge led the Jam in scoring (26), rebounds (9), and assists (5). Juan Pattillo finished the game with 15 points and 6 rebounds, Mustapha Farrakhan contributed 13 points, and David Palmer added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Renaldo Major was the only Jam starter to score in double digits with 10 points.

Former 18th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics, Gerald Green, led all scorers with 30 points and 10 rebounds for the D-Fenders this evening. Otis George finished the night with 18 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.

The Jam will look to avenge tonight's loss as they travel to Los Angeles to battle the D-Fenders tomorrow night at 6:30 p.m. PT at the Toyota Sports Center.
