BOISE, Idaho, March 14, 2012 - Marcus Banks scored 24 points off the bench (13-15 FT) and all five starters reached double-figures as the Idaho Stampede (17-25) beat the Texas Legends 101-95 in CenturyLink Arena.
Reggie Larry had 14 points and 12 rebounds (6 offensive), while Seth Tarver added 12 points, seven rebounds and six assists for the Stampede, who out-rebounded Texas 42-36 and held the road team to just 42.5 percent shooting from the floor. Idaho led by as many as 24, before briefly surrendering the lead in the fourth quarter. Banks made hay in the fourth quarter at the line, sinking all six of his attempts - the team made 21-of-26 on the night (80.8 percent). David Bailey added 10 points and six assists for Idaho. Mikki Moore and Tony Bobbitt each scored 13 points.
The Legends had their eight game winning streak snapped with the loss; they were led in scoring by Sean Williams, who had 18 points and six rebounds. Antonio Daniels had nine points and a game-high 12 assists. Dominique Johnson added 17 points off the bench, while Dan Gadzuric, also a sub, added 13 points and 14 rebounds.
Idaho shot 66.7 percent in the first half to take control with a 63-45 advantage, before being out-scored 28-18 in the third quarter.
The Stampede play Texas again tomorrow at 7 p.m. (MST) at CenturyLink Arena.
