Reno Bighorns Acquire NBA Veteran Antoine Wright

RENO, NEV.- The Reno Bighorns have acquired NBA veteran Antoine Wright from the available player pool. In order to make room on the roster, the team has waived Cedric Bozeman.

Wright (6-7, 215 lbs.) previously played 297 games over six seasons in the NBA, averaging 5.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game. While playing for four different NBA teams (New Jersey Nets, Dallas Mavericks, Toronto Raptors and Sacramento Kings) he started 96 games and made four appearances in the NBA postseason. More recently, he played in Spain for Asefa Estudiantes where he averaged 10.9 points per game in 13 games.

Wright was selected by the New Jersey Nets with the 15th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft out of Texas A&M. His NBA career was highlighted during the 2008-09 season when he averaged 7.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 65 games with the Mavericks, 53 of those starts.

Bozeman (6-6, 215 lbs.) played 15 games with the Bighorns this season averaging 12.2 points, 5.5 assists and 4.9 rebounds in 33.3 minutes per game. He was selected by the Bighorns with the 20th overall pick in the 2011 NBA D-League Draft. He previously missed 24 games this season due to injury.

Fans can see Wright in action when the Bighorns take the court on March 16 and 17 against the Dakota Wizards at the Reno Events Center. On Saturday, March 17 the first 1,500 fans in the Reno Events Center will receive a Jeremy Lin jersey. Doors for both games open at 6 p.m. Reno Bighorns group ticket packages are on sale today.
