BOISE, Idaho, March 14, 2012 - The Idaho Stampede re-acquired forward Paul Carter (6-8, 203, Illinois-Chicago) today.
Carter (b. 6/2/87) re-joins the Stampede after being waived due to personal reasons on Sunday. Carter is averaging 10.5 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in 27 games (17 starts) with the Stampede. Carter was added to the Utah Jazz training camp roster on Dec. 13, 2011. Carter finished college at the University of Illinois-Chicago after attending the University of Minnesota for two years and a year at Missouri State-West Plains Junior College. Carter was named to the 2011 Horizon League All-Newcomer team in 2010-11 after averaging 14.7 points, 8.0 rebound and 1.9 assists. Before signing with Utah, Carter played briefly in the country of Cyprus.
Carter will wear jersey No. 21.
In order to make room on the roster, the Stampede waived Willie Jenkins due to personal reasons.
