BOISE, Idaho - Marcus Banks had 21 points, 12 assists and four steals, and Mikki Moore added 11 points and 11 rebounds as the Idaho Stampede beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 96-82.
Idaho (18-27) saw five players reach double-figures in scoring, as Tony Bobbitt added 19 points, Reggie Larry had 16 and Seth Tarver had 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists. The Stampede played an up-and-down game, scoring 30 points and 34 points in the first and third quarters, while totaling 15 and 17 in the second and fourth quarters. Idaho held the Mad Ants to 2-of-14 shooting from the three-point line, and held them to just 39.0 percent shooting. Idaho shot 61.9 percent in the first quarter, to make just 3-of-15 shots in the second quarter, then shot 70.0 percent in the third quarter, before making just 6-of-20 shots in the final stanza.
Fort Wayne (11-33) beat the home team on the boards, 56-40, with Vernon Macklin grabbing 19 and adding 14 points. Darnell Lazare was the Mad Ants' leading scorer, totaling 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Idaho plays the Mad Ants again tomorrow at 7 p.m. (MST) at CenturyLink Arena.
