Joseph's Triple-Double Helps Lead Toros Past Red Claws

Cedar Park, TX - The Austin Toros got their largest win of the season, 112-82, over the Maine Red Claws on Friday night at Cedar Park Center. Cory Joseph earned his first triple-double since his assignment with the Toros as he scored 15 points, 17 rebounds, and 12 assists.

In the first quarter, the Toros went on a 14-2 run to take an early lead. They would end the quarter ahead, 28-21.

Austin added to their lead as they outscored Maine in the second quarter by 16 points. They owned their biggest lead of the game, 62-39, after Da'Sean Butler hit a buzzer-beating layup just before halftime.

The Toros continued to build their lead in the third quarter, taking a 93-59 lead into the fourth quarter.

The Red Claws attempted to gain their ground in the fourth, but their efforts came up short as the Toros finished the game, 112-82.

Seven Toros scored in double figures including Joseph. Luke Zeller had 17 points and nine rebounds.

Morris Almond led Maine with 23 points and eight rebounds.
