Stampede Holds on to 102-96 Victory

BOISE, Idaho (January 6, 2015) - The Idaho Stampede defeated the Oklahoma City Blue 102-96 Tuesday night in a game where Idaho led by as many as 13 points.

Oklahoma City guard Semaj Christon had a game-high 30 points but turned the ball over three times in the final three minutes of the game to help Idaho secure the victory. The Stampede led the majority of the game, paced by Atlanta Hawks assignment John Jenkins (23 points). Jerrelle Benimon pitched in with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the winning effort.

The Stampede shot 52 percent from the field, the team's second highest mark of the season. Idaho hit 14 3-pointers, also the team's second-highest mark of the campaign. Shane Gibson hit 5 from range, on his way to a 19-point performance. Gibson, who has seen an increase in minutes since Kevin Murphy's departure, has averaged 21 points over the last four games.

Reggie Williams scored 21 points and started in the place of guard Mario Little, who sustained in injury during warmups and was a late scratch from Oklahoma City's lineup.

The two teams will face off again tomorrow night at CenturyLink Arena at 7 p.m.
