
Stampede Fall Short against the Jam

BOISE, Idaho - The Bakersfield Jam pulled away from the Idaho Stampede in the fourth quarter to secure a 119-101 victory on Friday night.
Jerrelle Benimon (20 points, 11 rebounds) posted his ninth double-double of the season, while adding six assists in the process. Idaho pulled within six points in the final quarter but Bakersfield guard Elijah Millsap scored 11 of his 28 points down the stretch to grab the Jam's 12th win of the season.
Millsap's 28 led all scorers. Bakersfield center Earl Barron recorded a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds. The win puts the Jam (12-7) into second place in the West Division.
Benimon's 20 points led a group of six Stampede players in double figures. Atlanta Hawks assignment John Jenkins scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds off the bench. Toure' Murry recorded 11 points and six rebounds on assignment from the Utah Jazz.
The two teams face off again Saturday night at 7 p.m. in downtown Boise.
