AUSTIN - The Austin Spurs(15-11) defeated the Capital City Go-Go (16-12), 115-100, on Saturday night at Moody Center.
Two-Way guard David Duke Jr. led the Spurs with a season high 30 points, on 10-of-16 shooting from the field along with 9 rebounds and 5 assists. On assignment from the Spurs, Sidy Cissoko claimed a double-double with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Paul Watson Jr. tallied 18 points for the Silver and Black.
Austin grabbed an early lead by two in the opening quarter, 21-19. The Spurs kept the momentum going as they shot 52.2% from the field in the second frame to keep the lead at the break, 50-44. Duke Jr. finished the half with 14 points for Austin while Taylor Funk finished with 12 for Capital City. The third quarter featured six lead changes with Hamidou Diallo scoring 19 points for the Go-Go to cut the deficit down three, 85-82. The Spurs answered back in the final frame as they outscored the Go-Go, 30-18, to claim their third straight win.
Diallo led the Go-Go with 34 points on 13-of-19 shooting from the field. R.J. Hampton followed with 25 points while Funk finished with 14 points for Capital City.
