Springfield Falcons Partnering with 'Buy Springfield Now' Initiative March 14

Springfield, Mass. - For the fourth consecutive year, the Springfield Falcons are partnering with the 'Buy Springfield Now' initiative when the team hosts the Providence Bruins this Saturday, March 14 at 7 p.m. at the MassMutual Center.
Prior to the game, 'Buy Springfield Now' and the City of Springfield representatives will present the winner from a 'Buy Springfield Now' event with a $500 gift certificate towards a recently purchased home in the City of Springfield.
The 'Buy Springfield Now' initiative establishes a collaboration of public, nonprofit and private-sector organizations to preserve and promote homeownership opportunities throughout the City of Springfield.
"Promoting Springfield through the participating vendors helps spread the word that Springfield still has great homes that families can buy. With the programs available through MassHousing, like 97% financing and MI that covers the customer in case they lose their jobs, MassHousing will make their mortgage payment for six months. These MassHousing programs are geared towards affordability and sustainability for all customers that want and dream of becoming a homeowner," said 'Buy Springfield Now' Chair and MassHousing Business Development Officer Rocco Leone.
In addition to the on-ice presentation, the following companies will have tables on the concourse during the game to provide information to Falcons fans about becoming a homeowner in the City of Springfield: HAP Housing, Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services, Attorney Victor Govoni, Merrimack Mortgage, Berkshire Bank, B Kaye Realty & Insurance, A-1 Nolan Realty LLC, United Bank, NRG Real Estate Services, Inc. Cheri Pitt Realtor & Louise Eastman Realtor of Real Living, Sears Realty, Peoples Bank, Freedom Credit Union, First Niagara Bank, Norcom Mortgage and MassHousing.
