Shots: Binghamton 31, Norfolk 47

PP: Binghamton 1 for 5, Norfolk 0 for 8

Scott Greenham stopped 46 of 47 shots faced to snap Binghamton's four-game losing streak with a 4-1 victory over the Norfolk Admirals. The B-Sens stifled all eight Admirals' power-play chances while Cole Schneider chipped in two primary assists to lead the team offensively.

The B-Sens grabbed the 1-0 lead just past the seven minute mark of the opening period after Patrick Mullen snapped a centering feed from Schneider past the Admirals Jason LaBarbera for his fifth tally of the year. Norfolk evened the score at 1-1 after Colby Robak scored his first goal of the year with less than six minutes to play in the period. Greenham stopped 17 of 18 Admirals' shots in the opening 20 minutes of play to send the teams to the first break tied at a goal apiece.

Binghamton grabbed the lead once again just seconds into a power-play opportunity when Ryan Dzingel took another useful pass from Schneider and planted it high over LaBarbera's glove for his 14th goal of his rookie campaign. The B-Sens took the 2-1 advantage into the final intermission break outshooting their hosts 15-11 in the period.

Despite being outshot 18-8 over the final 20 minutes of play, Max McCormick pushed Binghamton's lead to

3-1 14:29 into the final period before Danny Hobbs converted on an empty-net opportunity to move the final score to 4-1.

Friday, March 6: Binghamton 3, Norfolk 2 (OT)

Shots: Binghamton 39, Norfolk 51

PP: Binghamton 0 for 3, Norfolk 1 for 6

The Binghamton Senators swept the Norfolk Admirals in the last road trip to Virginia with a 3-2 overtime victory. Carter Camper notched his second goal of the night with exactly two minutes remaining in the overtime period while Greenham stopped 49 of 51 shots faced.

Camper opened up the scoring just 3:37 into the first period after putting home a shot from the right faceoff circle during an even-strength rush off a great feed from Shane Prince. Chris Wideman doubled the lead a little over 10 minutes later with his 14th goal of the year. While the B-Sens were waiting on a delayed Admirals penalty call, Wideman took a hard shot from the top right that passed through several skaters and the Admirals' goaltender LaBarbera. Binghamton took a 2-0 lead to the first intermission while also leading Norfolk in shots 16-9.

The B-Sens lead was cut in half following a power-play goal from the Admirals. Kevin Gagne notched his first goal of the season with 10 seconds remaining on Troy Rutkowski's hooking penalty making it 2-1 heading into the final intermission.

Mike Sgarbossa tied the game up a little over halfway in the third period after a redirect in front of Greenham to make it 2-2. Despite multiple chances for each team to break the tie, overtime was needed to determine the winner.

Following three minutes of scoreless hockey in the sudden-death period, Camper buried his second of the night off another assist from Prince to give the B-Sens the overtime win.

Greenham topped his previous career-high from Wednesday's win with a 49-save performance to earn his 12th victory of the year. LaBarbera allowed three goals on 39 shots faced to fall to 7-12-4 on the year.

Sunday, March 8: Syracuse 2, Binghamton 4

Shots: Syracuse 40, Binghamton 34

PP: Syracuse 2 for 5, Binghamton 2 for 4

The Binghamton Senators pushed its winning streak to three straight with a 4-2 victory over the Syracuse Crunch in a Sunday matinee contest. Peter Mannino made 38 saves including 19 in the final period to preserve the B-Sens win.

Syracuse took the lead 8:18 into the period when Yanni Gourde converted a power-play goal for his team-leading 22nd tally of the season. Binghamton evened the score less than five minutes later when Wideman unleashed a slapshot from the top of the faceoff circle that beat the Crunch's Kristers Gudlevskis for his 15th goal of the season. Syracuse outshot Binghamton 13-8 in the opening 20 minutes of play, but the teams skated to the first intermission tied 1-1.

The B-Sens outshot the Crunch 17-7 over the second period while managing to take a 2-1 lead on a power-play goal from Aaron Johnson. With Joey Mormina sitting for high sticking, Prince sent a shot towards Gudlevskis who made the initial save. Camper took the rebound and found Johnson open in the slot who then converted for his fifth goal of the season to give the hosts the one-goal lead going into the final period.

Despite being outshot 20-9 over the final period, Binghamton added to their lead on a shorthanded tally from Schneider before Derek Grant redirected a shot from Mullen past Gudlevskis while on the power play to push the score to 4-1. Following a match penalty on Johnson for an illegal check to the head, the Crunch found themselves with a three-minute major power play. Richard potted a power-play goal with less than two minutes to play, but Mannino stood tall the rest of the way to hang on for a 4-2 win.

Derek Grant finished with a goal and an assist while Mullen chipped in two assists to lead the B-Sens offensively. Gudlevskis allowed four goals on 34 shots faced in the losing effort.
