Lightning Recall Forward Mike Angelidis from Syracuse

TAMPA BAY - The Tampa Bay have recalled forward Mike Angelidis from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced.

Angelidis, 6-foot-1, 212 pounds, has played in 57 games with Syracuse this season, notching 17 goals and 33 points with a plus-4 rating and five power play goals.  He is second on the team for goals and power play goals, and ranks fourth for points.  Angelidis is in his second season as captain of the Crunch.

A native of Woodbridge, Ontario, Angelidis has played in seven career NHL games, all with the Lightning, recording one goal.  He has skated in 572 career AHL games with Syracuse, the Norfolk Admirals and the Albany River Rats.  Angelidis has accumulated 116 goals, 240 points and 1,217 penalty minutes.  He has also played in 58 career Calder Cup Playoff games, registering five goals and 20 points.  Angelidis won the Calder Cup with Norfolk in 2013.

Angelidis signed with Tampa Bay as a free agent on August 3, 2010.
