Springfield Disarms Stampede

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts, January 26, 2012 - Terrico White scored 20 points in his first game in nearly two weeks, and the Idaho Stampede (8-15) shot 50.6 percent from the field, but made 22 turnovers which led to 24 Springfield Armor (13-12) points in a 111-102 loss.

The second quarter was the difference in the loss, despite the Stampede shooting 52.9 percent to just 38.5 percent for the home team. Idaho committed six turnovers in the quarter, leading to seven Armor points and the road team was out-rebounded 16-8 as they lost the quarter 30-21. The Armor held a 12-1 advantage in offensive rebounds in the first half, as they held a 10-point lead despite shooting 14 percentage points lower than Idaho.

White was one of six Stampeders in double-figures, as fellow starters Paul Carter (14 points, 10 rebounds), Mikki Moore (13 points, eight rebounds) and David Bailey (13 points, six assists, three steals) each chipped in. Seth Tarver came off the bench for 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists, while Tony Bobbitt had 14 points.

Springfield had three players reach 20+ points, with Dennis Horner leading the way with 24 points (9-10 FT, nine rebounds). Lance Hurdle added 20 off the bench and JamesOn Curry had 20 points, eight assists and four steals.

Idaho travels to Portland, Maine to play the Maine Red Claws tomorrow night at 6 p.m. (MST).
