Sports knock off Miracle

The Shreveport Sports scored the deciding run on an error in the seventh inning to squeeze out a 3-2 win over Ft. Worth Tuesday at Fair Grounds Field. With two outs in the seventh Chad Gambill's fly ball to right field was dropped by Aaron Sisk that allowed Ron Fenwick to score from first base with the winning run. The Sports had taken a 2-0 lead into the fourth inning, but Nelson Teilon hit a two-run home run to tie the game. The contest stayed at 2-2 until the Sports scored the winning run in the seventh. Thad Markray pitched eight inning to pick up the victory while Trey Poland pitched the ninth to record his six save of the year. Shreveport and Ft. Worth will close out the three-game series Wednesday with a morning game at 10:05 with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH.
