
Sport-Ãtudes Program Tryouts Set

MONTREAL - The Montreal Impact Academy announced on Thursday that online registration for the Montreal Impact sport-études program tryouts (birth years 2000 to 2004) are now open. The number of places is limited and the registration fee is $60.

The first phase will be from January 8 to 10, 2016. After this first step, a selection of the best players will be made for the second phase, which will be on January 16, or 17, 2016. The best players will be invited again to a third phase, on January 23, 2016. The last step will be done with games against actual Montreal Impact Academy teams.
Selected players will join the Academy's sport-études program only after academic validation. Here are the conditions:
-Minimum of 75% average overall
-Minimum of 65% average in Mathematics
-Minimum of 65% average in French
Our partner schools will also host open houses:
- Ecole secondaire Ãdouard-Montpetit (French): October 4, 2015, 1pm to 4pm;
- Ecole secondaire Antoine St-Exupéry (French): October 8, 2015, 7pm;
- Ecole secondaire Lester B. Pearson (English): October 6, 2015, 7pm to 9pm;
- Ecole secondaire John Rennie High School (English): October 1, 2015, 6:30pm.
It is highly recommended to check the Academy program to familiarise yourself with required involvement throughout the year. You can also download the brochure.
Other tryouts to come:
- U18 and FC Montreal teams (players born between 1994 and 1999). There are still some places available (October 16-18, 2015).
- U13 to U16 (Academy program, sport-études - players born between 2000 and 2004): Tryouts will be from January 8 to 10, 2016 (online registration opens on September 15, at 2pm, $60).
