Windsor Spitfires News Release
General Manager Warren Rychel has swung his second deal in as many days, acquiring centre Anthony Stefano and Oshawa's 2nd Round pick in the upcoming 2015 OHL Priority Selection from the Peterborough Petes.
In exchange, the Spitfires have sent four picks the other way: Windsor's 2nd in 2016, Windsor's 2nd in 2020, Kingston's 4th in 2016 and Windsor's 8th in 2018.
Stefano, who turned 19 on January 4th, is listed at 5'10, 177 pounds and hails from Sault Ste Marie.
In parts of two seasons with the Petes, he has played 97 games, posting 19 goals and 33 assists along with a +1 rating and 30 penalty minutes.
"We're happy to acquire a player of Anthony's caliber," Rychel said. "He'll give us speed and playmaking ability down the middle."
Stefano is in transit and is expected to join the team in time to dress for tonight's game in Belleville.
