
Spirit Wipeout Aces

Lynn, MA â In front of 2,518 energetic fans, the North Shore Spirit blanked the Aces 11-1 at the New Fraser Field.
Jeremy Sugarman got his league-leading ninth win for the Spirit, pitching seven innings and giving up six hits and one run. Miguel Marichal pitched two innings in relief, allowing just one hit and no runs. Angel Miranda got the loss for the Aces.
The Spirit jumped to out to an early 2-0 lead on a Marcos Agramonte leadoff homerun, his first of the season, and a Frank Charles RBI single. In the third, the Spirit would strike for three more, thanks to run-scoring hits from Charles and Travis Oglesby.
North Shore's offense wouldn't stop there. Already ahead 5-0, the Spirit would erupt for five runs in fourth. Once again it was Oglesby and Charles doing the damage, each had two RBI's during the big inning. From there, the game belonged to Sugarman and Marichal.
For the game, North Shore pounded out 16 hits. Vic Davilla was 4-5 with three runs scored. Charles and Oglesby combined to drive in eight runs. Brian Macchi was 3-4 and Rob Fischer reached base four times.
LHP Bryan Morse (5-2) will take the mound for the Spirit on Sunday in the last game of the series. Morse will face Alex Pena (2-4) from the Aces. Sunday's game begins at 2:05 pm, gates open at 12:30 pm.
Sunday is Spirit Sprout Day where all members of the St. Jean's Spirit Sprouts receive free admission and can run the bases after the game. Sunday is also Johnny Pesky Legend Day where the Spirit welcome and honor a baseball living legend. Every fan who enters the Fraser Field gates will receive a commemorative Johnny Pesky giant baseball card and many other special events will occur before and during the game to honor Number 6.
