Windsor, Ont. - The Saginaw Spirit (3-3-0-0) finish a three-game road trip with a game to play their division rival Windsor Spitfires (1-7-0-0) on Saturday, October 21st, at the WFCU Centre.

Last Time:
Saginaw lost to the Mississauga Steelheads on October 14th by a score of 4-3 in their third loss of the season. Hunter Haight finished with two points (1G, 1A), bringing him to ten points on the year. Matyas Sapovaliv added a goal assisted by Zayne Parekh, and Branden Haché scored his first in a Spirit uniform on an assist from Luke McNamara. Andrew Oke started the game for the Spirit, stopping 17 of 21 shots in his second loss of the season.
Windsor lost to the Kitchener Rangers 11-2 on October 15th, their fifth consecutive loss. Rookie Jack Greenwell scored his first OHL goal, assisted by Jacob Maillet and Carson Woodall. Noah Morneau scored his first of the year on an assist from Rodwin Dionicio. Ian Michelone and Joey Costanzo shared time in the game, with Costanzo receiving his fifth loss on the season after allowing eight goals on 31 shots.
Last Season:
Saginaw played Windsor eight times last year, with the Spitfires winning six of the eight. Three of those eight games were decided by only a goal. Micheal Misa led the Spirit throughout those eight games, recording 11 points (3G, 8A). Oliver Peer and Alex Christopoulos led the Spitfires in goals with five apiece while adding two assists.
Players To Watch:
Zayne Parekh is tied for fourth in the OHL in points for defensemen (10), recording one goal and nine assists. This ties him for the Spirit lead with Hunter Haight, who has recorded five goals and five assists on the year. Haight's five goals also serve as the team lead. Matyas Sapovaliv continues to be fantastic in the faceoff circle, winning 64.1% of draws. Andrew Oke continues to lead the team in all major goaltending categories, sporting a 2.43 goals against average (GAA) and a .902 save percentage (SV%) with three wins to his credit.
Liam Greentree currently leads the Spitfires in points (10) and goals (5). Rookie defenseman Carson Woodall leads the Spitfires in assists with six in his first season of OHL competition. Joey Costanzo currently leads Windsor with a 5.98 GAA and 120 Saves, and Ian Michelone leads the team with an .810 SV%.
Saginaw currently has five (5) players drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL), including Joey Willis (Nashville), Matyas Sapovliv (Vegas), Hunter Haight (Minnesota), Braden Haché (Florida), and Nolan Lalonde (Columbus).
Windsor currently has one (1) player drafted into the National Hockey League (NHL) in Rodwin Dionicio (Anaheim).
