
Beck Scores Hat Trick as Petes Fall in Overtime to Generals

(Peterborough, ON) - On Saturday, October 21, the Peterborough Petes hosted the rival Oshawa Generals for the first time this season at the PMC. The Generals won the game in overtime by a score of 4-3.
Before the game, the 1973-74 Petes were honoured as a part of the Petes Alumni Homecoming Weekend. The team traveled to Russia to compete in the first World Junior Championship in 1974, taking home the Bronze Medal. Eleven members of the team were on hand for the ceremonial opening puck drop.
Owen Beck led the way for the Petes with a hat trick, while Jonathan Melee added two assists. Connor Lockhart and Sam Mayer picked up an assist each on the night. Liam Sztuska stopped 37/41 in the loss.
