Aberdeen IronBirds News Release
On Tuesday afternoon, the Aberdeen IronBirds (17-29) and Lowell Spinners (28-19) completed Monday night's suspended game. Unfortunately, the game would not go in the IronBirds favor as the Spinners scored six runs in the final five innings to top the IronBirds 6-0.
Coming in to pitch in relief for Monday's starter, David Hernandez, was Ryan Schwabe. Schwabe could not follow up Hernandez' stellar six strikeout performance through 3.2 innings. Schwabe pitched two innings and gave up two runs, and took the loss to fall to 1-6 on the year.
Nolan Reimold, who has been struggling at the plate recently, was able to reel off three hits in four plate appearances to get his bat going again. His average is back up to .290.
The IronBirds will play the final game of the series tonight at 7 p.m. Radhames Liz will take the mound in pursuit of the New York Penn League ERA title.
