Lowell Spinners News Release

JAMESTOWN, NY - The travel weary Lowell Spinners will receive a reprieve after Saturday night's scheduled series opening game with the Jamestown Jammers has been postponed due to rain.

The Spinners, who arrived in Jamestown in the early morning hours after closing out a three-game series with a come from behind, 6-3, win in Staten Island Friday night, will receive an unexpected night off.

The two teams will play two seven-inning games Sunday, with Game One of the twin bill set to begin at 2:05 p.m. Saturday's scheduled starter, Jake Drehoff (0-3, 5.22) will get the ball in the first game. Game Two will be started by right-hand pitcher Kevin McAvoy (0-2, 5.23).
