The State College Spikes used a three-run 8th inning to complete a come from behind win over the Williamsport Crosscutters.
Williamsport jumped out to a 3-1 lead over the Spikes, plating a run in the 3rd on a Jose Antequera sacrifice fly and scoring two more in the 5th inning on hits by Jake Seaney and Jesus Alastre.
State College would use a pair of wild pitches by Cutters reliever Jose Nin in the 8th to take the lead at 4-3 and then add on to their lead at 5-3. The Spikes finished their three-run 8th with a Jose Martinez sacrifice fly to make it 6-3. Those three runs were charged to Geury Ortiz, who entered in the 6th inning.
Cutters Starter Ranger Suarez did not factor into the decision, but went 5.2 innings allowing three runs on six hits while striking out three and walking two.
