LHP Michael Felix (0-1, 3.33) vs. LHP Korey Noles (2-2, 1.93) ************************************ -SPIKES IN FINAL 2009 HOME SET: The State College Spikes play their final afternoon home game of the 2009 season at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park today as they take on the Williamsport Crosscutters in another SawBuck Series battle. The Spikes now lead the Crosscutters in the season series, 4-3, and in the all-time series, 22-21. State College has split their four games against Williamsport at home this season.

-LAST NIGHT: The Spikes rebounded from losing a two-run lead in the top of the eighth inning to come back with three runs of their own in the bottom half to beat the Crosscutters, 5-2, last night at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Aaron Baker went 2-for-3 with his sixth triple of the year, tying him with teammate Pat Irvine and two others for the league lead. Irvine's RBI in the eighth gave him 39 for the year, putting him into a tie for third in the league. Kyle McPherson went six scoreless innings for his ninth quality start in his last ten outings.

-FELIX TO START FOR SPIKES: Left-hander Michael Felix gets the call on the mound for the Spikes today. Felix is making his fourth start and 11th overall appearance. Last time out, the southpaw pitched 4-2/3 shutout innings at Vermont on August 15, allowing a hit and two walks while striking out two. Felix has not allowed an earned run in the month of August, and is making his first appearance against Williamsport.

-'CUTTERS GO WITH NOLES TODAY: Williamsport left-hander Korey Noles takes the hill for the Crosscutters today. Noles makes his sixth start and ninth appearance of the year today. The LaGrange, CA native was the Phillies' 24th-round pick in the 2008 MLB Draft.
