Vermont Lake Monsters News Release
BURLINGTON, VT --- Saturday night's New York-Penn League game between the Aberdeen Ironbirds and Vermont Lake Monsters was cancelled due to rain at historic Centennial Field.
The game was suppose to be the last meeting of the season between the two teams and the game will not be rescheduled, meaning that the Lake Monsters will now play a 75-game season.
Vermont (31-35) will continue its homestand on Sunday as the Lake Monsters begin a three-game series against the Staten Island Yankees beginning at 5:05 pm. Former University of Vermont baseball and current UVM hockey player Justin Milo is a member of the Staten Island team and will be with the Yankees during the three-game series through Tuesday night.
