Family Day is fast approaching and there is only one place to spend your day off... inside the GM Centre watching the number one team in the CHL. The Generals will be on home ice to take on the Sudbury Wolves. The game is presented by Rodman's Heating and Air Conditioning in support of Grandview Kids. In fact, Rodman's goes 'toonie' for Grandview at the game and we encourage you to bring your toonies along to support this very worthy cause - you can learn all about Grandview Kids by clicking here. There will be plenty of family fun for everyone as Bubba the Clown will be in the building and the Bowmanville Zoo will be set up behind section 116. You'll have the chance to take home a photo of you with baby lion cubs for $10 and a toonie from every photo supports Grandview Kids.

On top of all the family fun, you'll also get to see the top ranked team in the OHL in action. The Generals are the only OHL team to have clinched a playoff spot thus far and continue to tack on points at every game. The Generals (41-7-2-2) now have 86 points total on the season, 18 points ahead of the second place Barrie Colts. Tobias Lindberg has had a few great games recently, scoring two goals last night against Peterborough and two points (one goal, one assist) in the last Generals home game against the Guelph Storm. Additionally, Matt Mistele just reached 10 points in 10 games with the Generals at last night's game, totalling 52 points this season. Keep an eye on Dakota Mermis who has one goal and two assists in his last three games played, along with a plus-38. The Generals are a tough team eager to find another win in front of the best fans in junior hockey!

The Sudbury Wolves on the other hand have had a tough season, currently sitting at last place in the Eastern Conference. With only nine wins in 51 games this season, the Wolves will have to battle hard to defeat the Generals. Matt Schmalz is leading the Wolves in scoring with 35 points (20 goals, 15 assists) in 51 games. You'll also want to look out for Pavel Jenys, a seventh round pick of the Minnesota Wild who is second in scoring for the Wolves with 33 points (10 goals, 23 assists) in 46 games.

Our Family Day game is sure to be a fantastic time for the whole family and you don't want to miss it! To purchase tickets for the game, visit the GM Centre Box Office, or call 1-877-436-8811.
