Mitch Spence allowed two hits over six innings with two walks and five strikeouts as the Hudson Valley Renegades beat the Brooklyn Cyclones, 3-2, on Wednesday night at Maimonides Park.

Spence (4-2), Freicer Perez, Trevor Holloway, and Derek Craft combined on a three-hitter. Craft worked the ninth to pick up his fourth save.

Andres Chaparro drove in Anthony Seigler with the game's first run in the fourth. The Renegades had a chance to open the game up in the sixth with runners on second and third and nobody out. They settled for a run on a wild pitch to take a 2-0 lead.

Oliver Dunn tripled to open up the eighth inning. He scored on a sacrifice fly by Anthony Volpe. Brooklyn chipped away with two in the eighth to cut the deficit to one before Craft closed things out in the ninth.
