2005-2006 Condors Kids Club Special pre-season rate ends September 1st! Don't miss your last chance to sign up kids 12 and under for only $15 Membership runs from September 1, 2005 to May 31, 2006 and includes tickets to six weekend games and an exclusive gift. Special activities allow for one-of-a-kind opportunities to meet Condors players, coaches and mascots Colonel Claw'd and Baby Cal. Interested parents can sign up their child online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com or by coming into the Bakersfield Sports Entertainment office located at the Rabobank Arena. Friday, August 26th Colonel Claw'd will take to the ice during a public skate session at Bakersfield Ice Sports Center. The Condors feathered mascot will be skating from 8 pm - 8:45 pm at 1325 Q Street. The public skate session runs from 8 pm - 11pm and cost for admission is $7 for adults, $6.50 for kids 12 and under. Skates are available to rent for an additional $3 For more information, contact The Ice Center at 852-7400.
Week in Review:
Tuesday, August 16th More than 1,000 kids came out to "Fun Day" at the Kern County Museum. Colonel Claw'd and Condors Slapshot was there, along with Director of Community Relations & Development, Mikie Hayhurst and Public Relations Assistant Angelese Reed. The day's theme was all about water and kids not only got to play in the cool stuff, they learned about its importance as well.
Thursday, August 18th The Downtown Business Association held the final Street Faire of the summer. The family-friendly event capped off with a "Beach Vibe in 2005" theme. In keeping with the beach theme, Condors Slapshot winners received inflatable Blitz pool rafts courtesy of BSE.
Saturday, August 20th Blitz mascot Crusher tossed around a few balls with new recruits at the North of the River football launch at Liberty Park.
