
Sparks sign Edniesha Curry

EL SEGUNDO, CA- The Los Angeles Sparks have signed guard Edniesha Curry to a seven day contract beginning Tuesday, July 19, it was announced today.
Curry, drafted by the Charlotte Sting in the third round (41st pick overall) of the 2002 WNBA draft, played 20 games for the Phoenix Mercury in the 2003 season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 assists per game. After three years at Cal State Northridge, the 5'4" guard played her senior season (2002) at the University of Oregon where she earned All-Pac 10 Honorable Mention Honors, averaging 15.4 points and 3.8 assists.
Curry will play her first game Tuesday afternoon with the Sparks as they take on the Washington Mystics at 12pm.
