Charlotte Sting News Release
As a part of the WNBA's Kids Week, the Charlotte Sting will host their annual camp day game today at the Charlotte Coliseum. The team faces the Connecticut Sun, who currently sit in first place in the Eastern Conference. Doors open at 11 a.m. while tipoff is slated for 12 noon.

The game also marks the first official contest that pits Sting rookie Janel McCarville against the Sun's Lindsay Whalen. Both players starred at the University of Minnesota in college.
Camp day is typically held once per season by each WNBA team to provide an opportunity for youth groups, field trips and summer camps to attend the game as a group outing.
