ON THE HUNT: Hunter Brown on Tuesday was named the Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Week and on Wednesday was named the Astros Minor League Pitcher of the Month for May. He tossed a career-best seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts Thursday in El Paso, with both setting single-game highs for Brown and the Space Cowboys this year. Brown is tied for the Pacific Coast League lead with 56 strikeouts, is second with a 2.01 ERA, second with a .200 opponents batting average and fifth with a 1.14 WHIP. Brown's 12.50 SO/9 is ninth-best of all Minor League Baseball pitchers with at least 40 innings pitched. Brown has not allowed a run or walk through his last two starts (11 IP).

JULKS SMASH: Corey Julks has hit 10 home runs over his last 17 games and has hit .362 (29x79) with three doubles and two triples to go with the 10 home runs over that stretch. Julks' 10 May home runs were the most in the Pacific Coast League. His .769 slugging percentage last month also led the PCL. Julks leads the Space Cowboys and is tied for fourth in the PCL with 11 homers this season. He has an extra-base hit in each of his last nine games, which is the longest active extra-base hit streak in Minor League Baseball. He's also amidst a 13-game hitting streak, which is the second-longest active streak in the PCL.

HUNGRY FOR HOMERS: The Space Cowboys led all Triple A teams and were tied for second in all of Minor League Baseball with 43 home runs in May.

MASHIJEVIC: JJ Matijevic extended his hitting streak to 15 games Tuesday. Matijevic owns the longest active hitting streak in Minor League Baseball. He's hit .339 (19x56) with four home runs and 15 RBI throughout the stretch.
