Sugar Land Space Cowboys News Release

(SUGAR LAND, Texas) - Korey Lee helped spark a Sugar Land Space Cowboys victory Wednesday night at Constellation Field, going 3-for-4 with three RBI in a 6-3 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes.

Lee, who's ranked as the Houston Astros No. 2 prospect, per MLBPipeline, drove in all three of his runs in the first with a bases-clearing double.

The Space Cowboys jumped out to a 5-0 lead over Albuquerque in the first. JJ Matijevic opened the scoring with an RBI single, extending his hitting streak to 16 games, which is the longest active hitting streak in Minor League Baseball.

David Hensley was hit by a pitch from Albuquerque starter Peter Lambert with the bases loaded, leading up to Lee's three-run double.

Hunter Brown started for the Space Cowboys and did not allow a hit while striking out four through his first three innings. Elehuris Montero hit a three-run homer - his fifth of the year - in the fourth to provide all of Albuquerque's scoring on the night.

The Space Cowboys tacked on their final run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Cesar Salazar.

Zac Rosscup tossed two scoreless innings in direct relief of Brown and received the winning decision. Enoli Paredes worked a scoreless ninth to pick up his team-leading fifth save of the year. Paredes lowered his ERA to 0.45 on the season, which is the lowest in the Pacific Coast League of pitchers with at least 20 innings.

Parker Mushinski and Ronel Blanco combined for 2 1/3 scoreless innings in between Rosscup and Paredes.

Corey Julks went 1-for-3 with a walk and run scored, extending his hitting streak to 14 games.

Brandon Bielak is set to take the mound for the Space Cowboys at 7:05 p.m. on Thursday at Constellation Field, with the Isotopes scheduled to start Brandon Gold.
