Sox lose again

Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release


The Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped their 3rd game in a row as they lost to the Omaha Royals 9-6 on Wednesday night to fall 4 1/2 games back of Division Leading Albuquerque. Starter Chris Gissell struggled through 5 innings yielding 7 runs on 10 hits to take the loss. David Newhan led the offense with 4 hits and 2 RBI. The Sox will play 2 games on Thursday with the first being a continuation of the suspended game with the Royals on Monday night. Scott Elarton (4-6, 5.74) will continue the game he started on Monday for the Sox against Mike Fyhire (7-3, 3.98) of Omaha.
